About Me and All Things Cuban

 My name is Alexander L. Diaz (“Alex”), and I am the founder and owner of All Things Cuban®, a cultural and educational brand established in 2009.

All Things Cuban® began as a personal research project — a space where I could document and better understand what it truly means to be Cuban. I came to the United States as an infant and grew up in Little Havana, Miami, surrounded by Cuban culture, yet still searching for a deeper understanding of our identity, history, and traditions.

What started as a Facebook group dedicated to preserving and sharing Cuban historical facts, cultural commentary, and personal reflections has grown into a recognized brand that educates, promotes, and celebrates Cuban heritage worldwide.

Today, the mark All Things Cuban® identifies the source of our educational, cultural, and promotional services.

What started it all, the Facebook Group
 

In 2009, I created the All Things Cuban Facebook group as a way to archive my research and reflections on Cuban identity. Friends and family would often joke that I “Cubanized” everything — Cuban bread, Cuban coffee, Cuban pastries. That humor sparked a deeper question:

Why do we identify everyday things as distinctly Cuban?

That question became the foundation of this platform — a commitment to uncovering the historical, cultural, and social roots behind what makes something Cuban.

What began as a personal journey became a community. What became a community evolved into a brand.

 What All Things Cuban® Is Today 

All Things Cuban® is an educational and cultural media platform dedicated to:

• Preserving Cuban history
• Promoting Cuban identity

• Supporting Cuban-American heritage
• Promoting artists, authors, performers, and cultural institutions
• Arranging and promoting cultural and educational events

The brand operates across multiple digital platforms, including www.AllThingsCuban.com, and soon through publications in the book series, where we publish educational articles, cultural features, and historical commentary.
